This Summer Medicine salon will focus on utilizing the radiance and strength of the Fire phase of summer to encourage balanced health and well being as it pertains to your body’s unique constitution. We will learn to utilize this Yang, midsummer energy to bolster our individual wellness in this phase, as well as turning our eye of health toward the future in Fall and Winter. In this season of the Fire phase, summer is when our body’s Qi is heightened and expansive. This salon will provide clear guidance on how to practically navigate this aggressive energy and use it most wisely to channel proper health. Preparation is key during this time to ensure a smooth transition into Fall and Winter, as The ancient way is to always look 2 seasons ahead to ensure our wellness. This salon's focus will encompass how to stay healthy now and enjoy the generous harvest of summer as well as utilizing this abundance to prepare for the future. Translating and teaching this summer phase through the lens of Chinese medicine, Jennifer Watkins will teach hands on and straightforward tips using food, herb, and lifestyle suggestions to care for ourselves during this season. Please come ready to explore the particular dynamics of your own body happening at this time. Group discussion and questions will take place at the end of the salon as a vital and valuable part of understanding Chinese medicine.

Jennifer Watkins is a Chinese Medicine practitioner who uses nutrition, herbs, and lifestyle advisement to transform and educate people into creating and maintaining great health. She cultivates an atmosphere of respectful healing, unique to each patient. Jennifer is a nationally certified herbologist, licensed acupuncturist, and holds a Masters of Science Degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine. Her focus and talent lie in women’s health and fertility, chronic disease management, skincare, and facilitating self-love through self-care.
