Monday Meditations with Mariel

Join us for Monday meditations as part of our “Awakening from Winter into Spring: A Meditation + Yoga Series.” This four-week program relies on the power of yoga and meditation to awaken your senses, shed Winter skins, and welcome Spring balanced, refreshed, and energized. This program welcomes drop-ins as well as committed students. The meditation schedule is as follows:

  • March 8th, Impermanence Meditation: Impermanence can be a challenging and even scary concept to face – but it is very possible to find and practice joy in the face of Impermanence. Join Mariel for a practice of cultivating joy and gratitude for the special people in your life as you meditate upon the gift of the present moment and the moments that you have to share with your loved ones. (8AM, 30 min)

  • March 15th, Loving Kindness Meditation: Meditation is a transformative practice that helps you to plant seeds of goodness and love in your mind and your heart. In this Loving Kindness meditation, we will connect to the heart space and send love to the Self, those around you, and all beings on the planet. Open your heart to receive and to give unconditional love and joy. (8AM, 30 min)

  • March 22nd, Mindfulness Meditation: When mindfulness is at the heart of everything we do, we are better equipped to handle the ebbs and flows of life. This meditation focuses on observing the breath to ground and connect to the present moment. (8AM, 30 min)

  • March 29th, Inner Guide Meditation: We hold so much wisdom within ourselves, but often, the noise in our minds can cloud that guidance. Journey inward, quiet the chatter in your mind, and connect to your inner wisdom. This guided meditation will allow you to connect to your higher self and receive any messages that you may need to hear and know for yourself. (8AM, 30 min)

About the instructor: Mariel is a Bali-based yoga teacher with 12 years of practice and counting. Her classes are fluid, intuitive, grounded, and open to all levels of yoga practitioners. She is passionate about using breath and movement as a tool to connect to one's strength, softness, and inner self. In addition to teaching yoga, Mariel is a reiki practitioner and in the midst of completing a 200-Hour Meditation Teacher Training rooted in Tibetan Buddhism.
